Product Description

Special Judaica Jerusalem Shabbat Candlestick. The Hebrew words “Shabbat” and “Shalom” are delicately cut on the front of these Judaica column-like candlesticks. Each has a rich image of the hills of Jerusalem with a shimmering vision of the Temple in the distance. Although similar, the two are not identical, different colors give each one a particular mood and time of day. They are made with hand painting, followed by a variety of materials meticulously arranged inside the delicately cut stainless steel frame. The various parts are cut to perfectly fit and are assembled using no welding or glue to form these beautifully finished pair of candleholders. The Shabbat candles are used to mark the beginning of the Shabbat, the day of rest. The lighting of the candles ceremony was instituted as a way of creating a spirit of domestic peace, harmony and celebration, in respect of the Shabbat. We include a complimentary pair of fine beeswax candles. Measures : 2½”w x 1¾”d x 5¾”h
